Beauty Buzz: Probiotic Skincare|BeBella®

From music to fashion to beauty there will always be fads and trends. Once we wade through some of the trying to get attention buzz and reintroducing old ways to a new generation with changing terms, some new things are totally worth the hype. Could bacteria and skincare be the perfecting pairing? Let’s explore the benefit of Probiotic Skincare with BeBella®

Regardless of what products I’m using when it comes to skincare, I have two main focuses, regardless of what product I’m using. The first is consistency, and the second is layering. About two years ago I was introduced to and quickly became fascinated with Western Beauty Regimens. Beyond the types of products, the idea of going through the routine as a pampering session combined with layering products has made a world of difference in my skincare.

Although I may still feel like I’m in my twenties at times (ignore the fact that more often than not being asleep before 10 pm. is a regular thing, lol), treating my skin the same way I did back then no longer flys. I used to dread a long process of skin care, but now I use that 15-20 minutes to lock myself in the bathroom ALONE and relax.

TATCHA Friends & Family Sale

It’s a great time for beauty shopping. After a hard week I’m probably a little more excited for hopping than my wallet would like, but oh well.  I have been really good with following somewhat of a budget and curbing my beauty spending this past year………pats self on back, but this is a sale I have been waiting for so I am splurging a little. TATCHA is a Japanese skincare brand inspired by the simplicity and rituals of the geisha. I discovered this luxury brand several years ago and have been slowly making my way through trying every product they develop. In addition to restocking my tried and true favorites (which I will list below) , I am using this sale as an opportunity to purchase some of the products that have been on my wishlist.

Hourglass Brow Sculpting Pencils

Beauty/ Makeup
Eyebrows are probably the single most important piece when putting together your face. Even if you don’t wear makeup having well-groomed and shaped brows really make the difference in your look; brows are the frame of the face.  Now if there was ever a piece of beauty advice I wish I listened to it would be don’t over pluck your brows. Ugh coming up as a teenager I had my hard-headed moments and of course back at that time circa the mid to late 90’s thinner brows were in.
I spent way too many nights with tweezers and a magnifying mirror, a bad combination for someone who doesn’t know what they’re doing. Let’s not even talk about the night I let my friend tweeze my brows into the thinnest lines possible, A MESS. I wish I could say as I hot older I left my over-plucking days behind me, but nope. I should never be allowed to own tweezers, I’m just not responsible with them. Every grooming session starts the same and I tell myself I am just going to pluck the few random hairs. A bit later I’m staring in the mirror wonder what happened, I really need to leave my shaping to a professional.

So here I am again trying to keep my hands off my brows as I attempt for the 500th time to let them grow in. In the meantime I have reached for these great brow sculpting pencils from Hourglass.  When you have very little brow hair drawing some on can get challenging.  My arch is not well-defined and is actually a bit too low so trying to create natural looking definition is important.  The triangle shape of the Hourglass Brow Sculpting Pencil allows me to draw in a shape without a harsh noticeable line. The formula of the pencil combines the benefits of a powder, a pencil and a wax in one for a very natural finish.

I have lightened my eyebrows just a bit to give them more of a deep brown tone over their natural off black hue. If you have very dark eyebrows and don’t want to actually lighten them you can always fill them in with a slightly lighter pencil.  With my brows lighter at the moment I’m using the warm brunette pencil, when I don’t lighten I use the dark brunette pencil.  The best part of the Hourglass Brow Sculpting Pencils for me is that they replace me needing to use multiple products.

By altering the angle at which I hold the pencil and adjusting the pressure I can brush, define, fill and set all with one pencil. Even the most brow challenged person..*cough me*.. can get a nice looking brown with little effort. Use a light hand and build in your desired level of fill and coverage. And don’t forget brows should be sisters not twins, so don’t fret if you can’t get them to look exactly the same.

The Arch Hourglass Brow Sculpting Pencils are available in 9 shades.
