Now that I am in my thirties my skin has gone through some changes. Anti-aging is a focus now, and surprisingly I also deal with breakouts more now than I did as a teenager, hormones can be so weird. Eating well, drinking lots of water and following a routine can help maintain healthy skin and a glowing complexion.
I’m all for self-care and treating myself. I try to schedule a good professional facial a few times a year. Even if you can’t get to the spa, doing a facial at home can be super easy and is always a nice way to relax. I have been super stressed lately, and it’s spilling over into my eating habits, skin care habits, and even my sleep is suffering.
I noticed a breakout happening on my forehead, and I knew it was time to get back on track with my skin care and treat myself to a facial. These five steps are a quick and easy way to pamper yourself in the evening and feature some of my favorite products from luxury beauty brand Colleen Rothschild.

My evening beauty process has a lot of steps, but most days I actually look forward to the routine. Once I’m in for the night, I can’t wait to shower, put on comfortable pajamas, tie the hair up and relax before bed. I follow a pretty elaborate skincare and body care routine. Grey hairs are creeping in here and there, and I’m trying my best to be proactive with wrinkle and anti-aging treatments.

I remember a few years ago when I was turning 30 I had so much anxiety about it. In hindsight, I’m not sure what the big deal was all about. I’m a lot closer to forty than I am to thirty. I have a few gray hairs, laugh lines, and I need a nap before going out, but my outlook on aging has completely changed. I always like to think about how much I have changed and advice I would give to my younger self. I find the older I get the simpler I like my life to be. With all the products I get to test, blogs I read, YouTube video’s I watch and magazines I browse I have picked up enough beauty lessons to write a book. Even with all the tips and tricks, I have come across I have three main points I now live by, and they would be at the top of the list of any advice I give.
