Have you noticed that there hasn’t been many nail posts over here in a long time. Besides taking some time to rehab my nails, my regular life got super hectic and I didn’t have time to paint my nails, let alone swatch. I put out an SOS for some help with all the nail polish that has been piling up at my house waiting to be posted, and thankfully Savannah from Addicted to Polish came to the rescue. Over the next month or so Savannah will be guest posting here on Beyond Beauty Lounge with some beautiful nail polish swatches. Up today is a throwback to Nubar’s Fall 2014 collection FALLing In Love. The FALLing In Love collection consists of 8 polishes: 3 cremes and 5 shimmers. Let’s check them out.
First up is Queen a deep purple with purple shimmer. The formula was a little thin but applied well. This is 3 coats.
Next is First Date. It’s a mustard yellow creme with lots of yellow/golden shimmer. I really love colors like these, unfortunately the formula left a bit to be desired and didn’t quite level out. This is 3 coats.
Sweet Hue is a bright pink with lots of gold shimmer almost making it appear more coral. It’s really gorgeous! The formula on this was very nice. This is 2 coats.
Lush is a teal creme. The formula on this was a little strange. It appears extra creamy in the bottle but when you go to apply it’s a bit watery and has a crelly look to it and the formula is quite thin, but it does build up. This is 3 coats.
Love American Style is a lovely orange leaning bright red creme. Not super exciting, but very pretty. The first coat is sheer, but it build well. The formulas was very nice. This is 2 coats.
Affair is one of my favorites from the collection. It’s a lovely jelly teal with lots of golden shimmer. The formula was great. This is 2 coats.
Don’t Russet is a brick red creme with lots of pink shimmer. I had a hard time capturing all the shimmer and it’s a bit more prominent than my picture show. No formula complaints on this one. This is 2 coats.
Last but not least is Passion’s Pain. It’s a purple brown raisin creme. I really liked this color, but the formula on this was not the best. Like teal, it had a watery jelly formula and took several coats to build up. This is 4 coats.
Over all this is a decent collection. I loved all the colors but was disappointed with some of the formulas. My picks from this collection are Sweet Hue, Affair, and Queen. What do you think?
