I have been compensated by Johnson’s® Baby for this post; however, I am sharing my own thoughts. All opinions are my own. #JohnsonsBeautyHack
Part of perfecting our beauty routine is having all the right products and tools. From the perfect blending brush to the right foundation sponge. After getting the knack for applying everything just right and knowing which tools to use, the next component is caring for our tools.
Taking care of your brushes is essential and a process you should regularly be doing. Every time you use your makeup brushes and sponges dirt, makeup, bacteria, oils, etc. get left behind. Using dirty makeup brushes can not only affect how they apply a product, but it can also lead to breakouts. How often you wash your tools is a personal decision, anything I use for foundation gets cleaned after each use, but eye makeup and blush brushes I clean once a week.
My beauty hack tip for today involves a baby product, and it’s under $2. Cleaning your brushes won’t be a dreaded chore anymore.
The Johnson’s® Baby Bar is perfect for cleaning makeup brushes and sponges. This solid bar soap cleanser has added moisturizers. Using a solid soap over a liquid cuts down on wasted product. Using the Johnson’s® Baby Bar is great because the formula is gentle and not drying. With this method, I have cut my wash time down significantly.
Step One: Wet brushes and swirl on top of the Johnson’s® Baby Bar to pick up soap;
Step Two: Swirl brush in the palm of your hand;
Step Three: Lightly agitate bristles under running water to remove soap;
Step Four: Lay brushes out to dry.
I found the Johnson’s® Baby Bar at my local Walmart. The Walmart in my town has two sections with baby supplies; your store might be the same. There is the one small section in an aisle near Beauty and the separate baby section. I was able to locate the Johnson’s Baby Bar in the baby section of Walmart. Before you head out to Walmart check out the Becky Man’s Johnson’s Baby Hacks Pinterest Board for more Johnson baby hacks.
