I’m sharing #OBelievers in my life as part of an o.b. ® sponsored series for Socialstars™
How is it we are already five months into the year? Even though the season will soon transition to summer, I have a little bit of time before it gets unbearably hot outside. One of the biggest changes I wanted to make this year was getting back to leading a healthy and balanced lifestyle. In addition to my morning meditation, increasing organic and natural eating I’m also challenging myself to be more physically active.
I dropped some dollars on a fit bit a while ago in hopes that it would get me motivated to move my body. It’s working, having accountability partners helps a ton and when I remember to put it on it;s a fun way to stay on track of my progress, I like to log my meals also.
I have been living in the South for a few years now but have held on to my City Girl Mentality. Now that other aspects of my life are in transition I have found more enjoyment appreciating the outdoors. This year I’m excited about trading indoor gym time for hikes, walks around the lake, swimming, and tennis. I’m a little, well okay very out of shape but at one time in my life I was very active, and I want that lifestyle back.
When I’m all zen, active and on the go, the last thing I want getting in my way is my menstrual cycle. I was once one of those unlucky women who had to deal with terrible heavy and painful cycles due in part to my uterine fibroids. During those times of suffering, I barely wanted to leave my house let alone do activities. I walked around super worried about having an accident. Although I’m for sure not anywhere near as my younger self, I do enjoy doing yoga. Twisting, turning, and contorting myself into all those funny named positions is just not comfortable wearing a pad that, and who wants to worry about something shifting. My rolls and dimples might show a bit in my yoga capris but when it’s that time of the month I count on the fluid lock grooves in the o.b. Tampons to keep from something far more embarrassing showing up.
Now that I’m back to being active, comfort, protection, and discretion are a necessity. Sometimes you just can’t be walking around with a big bag to conceal your feminine products. The o.b. Tampons are extremely compact, creating less waste and making them easy to carry around discreetly. They are so small you can stick a backup in your pocket, sock, or keep a couple in your makeup bag. I remember the first time I saw a tampon without an applicator I was a bit nervous but o.b. is the only tampon to feature a SilkTouch cover, so you are still able to put one in comfortably and stay protected.
Part of the reason I have become so much more aware of what goes on and in my body has been these fibroids. Now that I have made some changes to my lifestyle they have gotten better and my cycles are much more manageable. Staying active, managing stress, and eating right has a nothing but positive impacts on my overall health and wellness. I’m looking forward to new adventures this summer, maybe even a trip whitewater rafting.
With o.b. Tampons being so compact you can always have some stashed and be ready for when that monthly friend comes to visit. No excuses to not be prepared and let her stop you from your activities. #sponsoredob
