I feel like every other post over here in The Beauty Lounge is about skin care, as you can tell I’m really obsessed with it. At this point I think my dream job just might be testing or even developing skin care. For now thought I am enjoying discovering new products to get my skin back into shape and slow down the signs of again for as long as possible. The super annoying wiry grey hair that popped up on the side of my head is a constant reminder that aging is something I am going to have to deal with. I’ll letting ol’ grey hang for a bit but the hair color is soon coming oh wiry one.
So back to the skin care, tackling some concerns has been a focus this year. Two skin care ingredients that are in my routine no matter what brand I am using is Vitamin C and Retinol. Of course results take time but I have seen improvements with skin tone and texture; my two major concerns.
Retinol, a derivative of Vitamin A is a anti-aging ingredient that helps re-texture the skin and reduce wrinkles. I like to use my retinol serum in the evening but you can use during the day. You should be wearing sunscreen daily anyway, but it’s especially important when using a retinol, so don’t skip it. Antioxidant rich vitamin C protects the skin from sun damage, free radicals, environmental pollutants and other factors that can cause premature aging. Adding Vitamin C to skin care helps with diminish dark spots, reduces inflammation, and boost collagen.
The Michael Todd C35X takes the Vitamin C, Retinol, and adds in emollient Vitamin E, Rosehip, Pomegranate, and Macadamia Nut Oil to create a powerhouse serum.
I was pleasantly surprised with this serum, the texture is very nice. It is a clear substantial serum that isn’t tacky and absorbs quickly. After two weeks use I see a noticeable improvement with pores and fine lines. The two pimples I did have cleared without leaving any hyerpigmentation, a win for me. Now that I have used the Michael Todd C35X Serum for a few weeks I started adding it into my morning routine as well. Reasonably priced at $37 this serum rates an A for me.
