Fall temperatures didn’t last long here in the South and the cold winter air has rolled in. Seriously, just two weeks ago we were still in sandals and now were bundling up in sweaters. I’m not complaining though, I have wanted to break out the scarves and boots but the changes in my skin are not as exciting.
Just like with my skin care I am pretty on top of my body care routine as well. I can’t stand having my skin feel dry, itchy or uncomfortable. Just because I a more bundled up in the winter I still like to have soft, smooth skin. I make a few adjustments to the products I use but the basic routine is still the same. No shave November is just not my thing and exfoliation is even more important this time of year with the drier air. The new Curél® Itch Defense® Body Wash is a nice addition to my shower routine.
The formula of the Curél® Itch Defense® Body Wash features skin conditioners that work to create a rich lather that gently cleanses and soothes. I suffered with flares of Eczema on and off so I tend to avoid drying soaps that can irritate. The Curél® Itch Defense® Body Wash calms and comforts the skin, and with hydration ingredients like jojoba and olive oil it doesn’t leave it feeling depleted. I love that after my long super hot showers my skin is not left feeling dry, itchy or parched.
There is something about the chill in the air this time of year that makes me want to lounge around in my robe after taking a shower. I should apply my lotion right after my shower while the skin is still damp but most days I find myself in the kitchen to grab a cup of coffee first. Now that I am sitting at the vanity all warmed up I can sit and moisturize my skin.
The Curél® Itch Defense® Lotion has a nice soft feel that instantly relieves dry itchy skin and balances moisture levels. I am all for a lotion that soothes and promotes cellular turnover while lasting all day. With the Curél ® Itch Defense ® Lotion I don’t worry about irritation coming back.
What body care changes are you making with the season change?
