It’s finally Spring, and I am so happy the winter is gone. This coming weekend I plan to start changing my closet over, trading sweaters and boots for dresses and sandals. Makeup wise I don’t change much between seasons, there are certain colors I wear year round, and being a simple gal neutrals are always my friend. Neutrals work as the base for so many looks, you can keep it simple or amp it up. I created this really simple and quick everyday appropriate neutrals look using some products from glō∙minerals.
There was a time that I never would have thought to try pink eye shadows, but after experimenting one day I discovered that they actually work on me. I used three eye shadow shades from glō∙minerals for this look, which has been my go to work look for the past week.
- Prep eye lid with an eye shadow base
- Apply glō∙minerals eyeshadow in haze all over the lid and blend to slightly above the crease
- Apply glō∙minerals eyeshadow in twig into the crease and blend
- Apply glō∙minerals eyeshadow in sand pebble to the middle of the lid
- Line eye with a black liner – I was feeling confident today so I went with a small wing
- Finish off the eye with a coat of mascara – I always use black and apply two coats.
Blush is a must for me, even on light makeup days I always put on a little blush. This glō∙minerals shade in papaya is a nice bright pink for a punch of color.
I have oily skin, especially in the cheeks and my makeup sometimes starts to fade or wear off in the area first. I’m happy to report that this blush lasted all day and did not disappear. The color has nice pigmentation, and depending on the brush and method you use to apply you can keep it light or intensify the color.
A little glow never hurt anyone so a quick sweep of shimmer from the glō∙minerals candle duo was certainly in order, I used a fan brush to add a little highlight to my cupids bow and along the cheek bone. Candle is a beautiful highlight duo that delivers a touch of shimmer for a gorgeous glo and a portion of proceeds go to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
Time to pull it all together with a lip color. glō∙minerals suede mattes stick lip colors have antioxidant protection and conditioning ingredients like vitamin C, Vitamin, Mango Seed Oil and Shea Butter for a long lasting matte color that will not dry out your lips. I used the color punch which is actually a bright hot pink. I needed to tone it down a bit since this look was for work so I lined my lips and filled them in a bit with a mauve liner before applying punch on top. Ladies this lip formula is the bomb! It lasted on me all day through lunch and I didn’t touch it up once, winner!
