GLAMGLOW Supercleanse Mud to Foam Cleanser

Hey, hey loves! I have been waiting to do this review for a few weeks and I finally had a moment to get it up.  When I heard that GLAMGLOW was going to be coming out with cleansers I was super excited, I’m already a huge fan of their face masks.  I was adding goodies to my sephora wishlist in anticipation of the VIB sale toward the end of last year and immediately added one of the new cleansers to my list, SCORE for grabbing it with a little discount.  Just thinking about how a cleanser would go from mud to foam had me intrigued.

I am a skin care fanatic and am known to ditch whatever I am using to try the latest product on the market, but this time I practiced restraint. The cleanser I was using finally ran out in January and I started using the GLAMGLOW supercleanse. Ladies, WE HAVE A WINNER. I was completely blown away with how much I LOVE this cleanser and it’s like nothing I have ever used before. There are three cleansers in the line;

SUPERCLEANSE Daily Clearing Cleanser

THIRSTYCLEANSE Daily Hydrating Cleanser

YOUTHCLEANSE Daily Exfoliating Cleanser

I have combination oily, congested skin that occasionally breaks out, if you have dry skin go with the Thirstycleanse. I have been a fan of skin care masks and cleansers with charcoal for some time. Charcoal cleansers have been great at balancing my oily skin while detoxing and and breaking up the clogged pores and congestion.  Of all the charcoal cleansers I have used in the past, the supercleanse blows them all out of the water. After just a few uses I was hooked, my skin felt amazing and had a clean, fresh glow.  My pores appeared smaller and were no longer clogged, I had fewer breakouts and less overall congestion.

This cleanser does have a scent, it smells like licorice.  I happen to like that scent, Good & Plenty candy was a favorite of mine as a kid, but some people may not like it. The scent does not linger, once you wash the mask off it’s gone.  At times when my skin was being problematic I would apply the mud as a mask and let it sit on my skin for a few minutes before activating it into the foam, the wetter your hands the more foam. The only negative I had with this cleanser was that it does not remove makeup effectively, especially waterproof eye makeup. This was not a big deal for me because I always double cleanser anyway. I remove makeup with a cleansing oil or balm.  If you don’t want to be bothered with double cleansing, use a makeup wipe first if you have heavy makeup on or at least use an eye makeup remover. I should also note I didn’t love using this cleanser with my clarisonic. There is something about activating the mud with your hands that worked better.

I have been using this cleanser for about 2 months now and I absolutely would repurchase. If you have been on the fence about this I would recommend you go ahead and give it a try, it doesn’t disappoint.
