White Chocolate Cranberry M&M Bark

Press Sample/Sponsored
The Oscars are this weekend and you know I will be tuning in to check out the red carpet arrivals.  I’m a big movie buff, and when sitting down to watch a long movie or show I need my essentials. A comfy place to sit, drinks and snacks are all necessities. Both my fiance and I have a weakness for M&M’s, the peanut M&M’s are my personal favorite. Today I am showing you a super quick, and easy sweet snack that incorporates some of my favorite candy.

Candy barks are really easy to make and don’t take long at all. These are a great snack to make when you have people over or to let the kids help, you can make a few different varieties.

Peanut M&M's

Start by melting your chocolate, you can use a double boiler, but for time I cheated and just melted the morsels in the microwave in 30 second increments;
White Chocolate
Cover a baking sheet in wax paper and spread the chocolate out in a thin even layer;
M&M bark
Choose your toppings and sprinkle on top of the chocolate
(I used walnuts, cranberries, and crispy M&M’s on the white chocolate and pretzels, and peanut M&M’s on the milk chocolate)

Place baking sheet in the refrigerator for 15 minutes to cool and set;

Remove bark from the wax paper and break into pieces;

Arrange on serving plate and ENJOY!

To get ready for the show tell me some of your awards show watching traditions and your favorite M&M flavor or recipe. I’ll also be tweeting about the red carpet beauty looks tomorrow so chime in and join me on twitter.
