Hey, hey beauties! It is almost the weekend and let me just tell you this week has my stress level on 1,000. Arghhhhhhhhh. I am in desperate need of a nice pampering session.
Life gets hectic and sometimes carving out a little “me” time is hard. Pampering yourself is always a nice treat, whether it’s before a date, after a bad day, or for no reason at all. Put yourself “back on the list” with these quick and easy ways to pamper yourself at home.
Set the atmosphere: I like to start out with a glass of wine, light a ton of candles and play some relaxing music. I may even pretend I have a nice voice and sing along. There is never a shortage of candles in my house, when a good sale hits I stock up. Cranberry Pear Bellini is one of my favorites from Bath & Body Works.
*Bath accessories: For me the center of any pampering session is a nice, hot bath. I just want to relax, relate, release and soak all my cares away. Mr. bubbles is cute for the kids and all, but for a grown up bath give me all the Lush bath bombs. How freaking awesome is this Unicorn Horn Bubble Bar from the Lush Valentine’s Day collection. This bubble bar is not only colorful, it smells HEAVENLY. Just the right amount of fairy dust and calming essentials oils, you will be taken off to a mythical world of relaxation. P.S. this is a nice size bar, you can easily get two baths from this one.
*Skin TLC: Depending on my mood and if I am prepping for an event I will apply a face and or hair mask while I’m soaking in the tub. Other times if I want to read while soaking I will do this step when I get out. If you have tired, puffy eyes these skyn ICELAND hydro cool firming eye gels are the BOMB, you will definitely feel them working and see a difference in one use. These are a must have for a pampering session before an event.
Massage: I am guilty of taking a long hot bath. I will even add more hot water if it cools before I am ready to get out. I know the hot, hot water is not good for my skin, so after a bath I need more than my regular lotion to moisturize. I am obsessed with body oils and this marula oils feels ultra silky on the skin. Take your time and massage it in well, not only will your skin be happy but the massaging gets the blood flowing and helps for a bit of extra relaxation.
- Nails: No pampering session for me would be complete without doing my nails. I am definitely one of those girly girls that just doesn’t feel put together if my nails aren’t neat and polished.
What are some of your favorite ways to pamper? Do you have a specific routine, or go to products?
