Seriously beauties can you believe we are already into February, I need time to slow down. I haven’t done a favorites post in a few months so I’m happy to bring this back this year, hopefully life calms down and I can keep with posting them. I hope you enjoy reading a bit about some of the products I have tried and loved in January.
Makeup Forever Large Powder Brush ($55)
I have actually had this brush for a few months now, but it was so pretty I didn’t want to use it. I know smack me that is so dumb, but its the truth. This uber soft large dome shaped brush is perfect for apply loose powder.
tarte Amazon Escape Palette ($44): I am obsessed with pretty much everything from tarte and this palette is no exception.
If you recall the tarte QVC exclusive beauty without boundaries set I posted about back in the summer this palette was included with the second auto delivery shipment. This eye and and cheek palette contains two blushes and six eyeshadows. The color payoff is excellent for mineral pigments, the shades are soft and easy to blend.
Nars Blush in Taj Mahal ($29): This is another Makeup Show Orlando purchase that I am just getting around to using.
I tend to go with darker with blush colors in the winter and this burnt orange shade is perfect for my skin tone. This color looks bold but it is absolutely gorgeous, my olive and darker skin tone ladies this is a must have, another home run from Nars.
Rimmel London Exaggerate Liner ($6): This black felt tip eyeliner is a drugstore hidden gem. I usually have a hard time perfecting the winged eyeliner look, when I used this liner I got my wing perfect on the first try. I think I actually stood up and clapped for myself. Seriously this eyeliner is so easy to work with
Hard Candy Baked Bronzer in Tiki ($9.00): This matte bronzer gives a sun kissed hint of glowing color sans shimmer.
Another underrated gem, available at Walmart Stores.
L’Occitane Lip Balm ($12): This ultra moisturizing lip balm containing 10% shea butter has been a savior for my dry lips. This balm hydrates without that greasy feeling and lasts for hours.
Palmer’s Skin Therapy Oil ($10.99): This light oil with vitamin E for the face is amazing for a drugstore oil. It’s no secret that I am a die-hard skin oil fan. I’m used to spending big bucks for fine oils for my sensitive skin, I was pleasantly surprised with this one. Helps with fine lines, wrinkles, dark spots, discoloration and ageing skin. Hyperpigmentation seems to be a thorn in my side that past few years so I am tackling it full force. I had visible results after just a few days using this oil, dark spots fading and skin was supple and radiant. This is not a heavy oil at all, I have been using this in place of moisturizer in the a.m.
Coppertone Oil Free Faces ($9.99): Now listen up beauties, if you are not wearing sunscreen year round you are tripping! An absolute must no excuses okay. The suns ultraviolet and UV rays are not on vacation in the winter, they are very much present. UVA Rays can not only give you wrinkles, but also cancer. I have very sensitive skin and used to avoid sunscreen on my face because every one I tried would cause me to breakout. Although this SPF 50 is more than I need in the winter this is one of a few sunscreens that my skin likes. This Coppertone Oil Free Faces sunscreen is very lightweight, absorbs quickly and will not clog your pores.
Crabtree & Evelyn Hand Wash ($18): Besides looking pretty next to your sink this hand wash packs a punch. This luxurious fragrant hand wash produces an ample conditioning lather that conditions as it cleanses.
What do you think of my picks for the month, have you tried any of these products before. What have been some of your favorite products for January?
