Beauties, so glad I am back to painting my nails on a regular basis again. I have only swatched a few things since around late December, my nails suddenly became very weak and thin and were breaking all the time. I took a break and attempted to nurse them back to health, they aren’t quite where they used to be but they are on their way.
Today I have some polishes from Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer to show you, Julie will be re-stocking her shop on March 9th at 3:00 pm. These colors were first released as part of her Holiday Collection, Julie wanted to go in a different direction from the traditional holiday nail polish colors and bring out a collection that could carry you beyond the Holiday’s. This Collection was instead inspired by all things cold and icy, and boy does that sum up the winter most of us had.

Untrodden Snow & Electric Icicle make up this set. These are not available individually.
Untrodden Snow: A white based polish, the white glows with a blue flash, blue shimmer, and blue micro flakies.
Electric Icicle: A clear based glitter topper with bright blue holo hexes, rainbow iridescent hexes and squares, silver holo hexes ,tiny diamonds, and blue holo stars. This is best worn over Untrodden Snow however I liked Untrodden Snow so much on its own I paired this one over a light grey to show the color. This would also look great over darker colors.
Frozen Ivy: A deep green jelly with silver and green micro glitters.
Plum Tired of the Cold: A blackened plum shimmer base with gold micro hexes, red hexes, diamonds, and circle glitters also contains wine and burgundy hexes, black hexes and holo dots.

Snowfall at Dusk: A periwinkle based polish with various shades of blue hexes, squares, and dots, blue-green iridescent hexes, and large white snowflakes. Can be layered over a solid base or wore alone(opaque in 2-3 coats). I had a little trouble getting to the snowflakes, Julie recommends turning this one upside down for a bit to allow the snowflakes to come down.

Tacky Winter Sweater: A light pink based polish with sapphire hexes, holo violet hexes, and holo bright pink hexes, diamonds, and dots, purple iridescent hexes, and light pink snowflakes. This is another polish that can layered or worn alone with opacity building with 2-3 coats. I actually really liked this one on its own so it is shown below both ways. It is alone with two coats on my middle finger and as a topper over a med purple nail polish on my other fingers.

Hypothermia: A dark purple linear holographic with vivid purple shimmer. This limited edition holographic polish is only available for those who purchase the entire Winter Collection.
Another great collection from Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer. I had two standout personal favorites and they were Untrodden Snow & Hypothermia. I can’t wait for my nails to grow out a bit more so I can wear Untrodden Snow again, it is absolutely beautiful and a polish color I have been wishing an Indie Nail Polish creator would make. I had no application or formula issues with any of the polishes in this collection, all are shown with two coats of polish and one coat of topcoat, for these I used Sally Hansen Diamond Flash.
