I have been using Nerium for approximately three weeks. I started using the product on my face but most often I use it on my neck and upper chest area where I had a patch of rough skin and slight discoloration. The product can be used on other areas of the body such as hands, knees, elbows or any place that shows signs of ageing.
The first few days I had to get used to the product as it was very different in a few ways from other skin care products I have used in the past. Upon opening the product you will notice the scent, its not a horrible smell but one that took getting used to. The scent was very natural almost like a plant. It is a bit strong at first but does fade after about 20 minutes. The bottle has a nice pump dispenser. Nerium is to be applied at night after cleansing. It is recommended to use 4-5 pumps and apply in a think layer to damp skin. I found 4-5 pumps was too much for just my face to adjust the amount to the are of the body you are applying. The formula is a thick cream so applying to damp skin is important to help it to be absorbed. If your skin is dry when you try to apply the cream it will not absorb, it will be hard to rub in and will leave a film on your face. As the product dried I felt a slight tightening of my skin, similar to when I apply a mud mask.
After the 3 weeks of use I had minimal results in some areas and moderate results in other areas. On my face since I don’t have real wrinkles I saw no real change. I have oily skin and some visible pores on my cheeks, that tend to clog. My pores appeared a bit smaller as they seemed to be less congested and the texture of my skin on the cheeks felt a but tighter. My most noticeable results though was the skin on my neck. I’m not really sure where it came from but I had developed a small rough dark patch of skin at the top of my neck under my chin. After using the Nerium that area was softer and smoother and the discoloration although not completely gone has started to fade.
My overall thoughts on Nerium is that it could be an effective treatment and I will continue use. Because I am using less than the 4-5 recommended pumps my bottle will last a bit longer than 30 days. Nerium retails for $110 available by visiting mynerium.com
