Morning Lovelies, So you may have seen that Butter London has recently expanded their line to include color cosmetics with the Bespoke Collection.
The Bespoke Colour Cosmetics collection delivers the unparalleled quality and long-lasting wear you’ve come to know and love from butter LONDON’s lacquers and LIPPY’s, with a continued commitment to non-toxic, paraben-free formulas.
I have two products from the Bespoke Collection to show you today. One of the first things I noticed about Bespoke is whoa baby it’s all about color, there are a few toned down options but for the most part we are talking rock and role bold.
Colored mascara is hot hot hot this year. Butter London Bespoke Cosmetics has four Wink colored mascaras in the line. Jaded Jack is a bright neon green.
I have mixed feeling on this one so let’s start with the good. I was very pleased at how pigmented the color is, I didn’t think it would show up much without a white mascara primer but oh boy was I wrong.
As you can see there is no problem with the color showing up on my dark lashes, no primer used. The mascara elongated and gave the appearance of full lashes. Now the negative. I felt like this mascara dried way too fast and did not layer well for even though it is a gel based formula. I usually apply two coats of mascara, this dried so fast that when I went to apply the second coat it started to clump up and get thick, my lashes started sticking together and were hard to separate even with my metal lash separator. I would rate this a C. I’m curious to see if the other colors in the line apply the same as Jaded Jack. I gave this a middle of the road rating even though I didn’t care for the formula for my lashes, it can be used on the brows and the color vibrancy has been one of the best I have seen as far as a green mascara.
Next up is the Wink eye pencil in Union Jack Black.
This is standard run of the mill black mechanical creme pencil. The quality was good the color a deep jet black.
This is a good eyeliner, applied very creamy dried well but not too fast that you can’t work with it for smudging. The pencil is a bit soft so some might want to put it in the fridge for about 30 minutes before using, and be careful when sharpening this one. I rate this eyeliner a B+.
What are your thoughts, have you tried any of the Butter London Color Cosmetics?
