NeoCell Beauty Bursts Gourmet Collagen Chews Review & Giveaway

Giveaway/ Product Reviews/ Skin Care

Good morning beauty lovers. Hope everyone is doing well today.  So a few weeks ago I posted a picture on my instagram of a new product I was trying out by NeoCell. Well I am here to report to you what I thought of the beauty chews after trying them out for about three weeks.

It’s no secret if you have been reading my blog for a bit that I am all over skincare, chalk it up to getting older but more than ever now I see the importance of skin care. Skin care goes beyond just the face, our skin is our largest organ and for me I want to keep all my skin healthy, tight and glowing.
A few weeks ago in another post I mentioned the importance of Collagen. If you missed that post let me re-cap for you why it is so important. Collagen is like a web of fibers that holds the skin cells together, our skin constantly produces it but as we age production slows down. Collagen is what helps keep our skin firm, it is also found in other parts of the body such as our hair and nails.

I haven’t used a collagen supplement before although I do currently use topical beauty products that contain Collagen, my body lotion is one. With the addition of the Beauty Bursts I am treating my skin, hair and nails from both the inside and the outside double duty to help keep the skin supple and tight.

Beauty Bursts are a convenient and tasty way to add nutrients that aid in keeping your skin youthful, radiant and hydrated. Each serving of two Beauty Bursts contains:

  • 2,000 mg of NeoCell‘s famous Super CollagenTM 1 & 3 to strengthen hair, skin and nails
  • 20 mg of hyaluronic acid to help skin retain moisture and stay hydrated
  • 20 mg of vitamin C to help boost collagen in the skin

I have to admit I was a bit skeptical when I was first given the opportunity to try the Beauty Bursts, a collagen infused soft chew.  I didn’t really have too many doubts about the benefits of the product, my hesitation was more about how was it going to taste. The Beauty Bursts are available in two flavors chocolate mint and fruit punch. I have been taking the chocolate mint and I like them. They taste like an after dinner mint and also serve as satisfaction to my sweet tooth and added bonus and while two chews only contains 40 calories this is a better deal than munching on a snickers bar in the afternoon. The Beauty Bursts do not contain gluten, soy, GMO’s or artificial ingredients.

So how did they work? Well I give the Beauty Bursts two thumbs up my nails are stronger, my hair is shiner but the most noticeable difference was definitely my skin. The natural glow my skin had when I was younger is starting to come back. Before the beauty bursts my skin had a dullness to it that has seemed to diminish. I have been taking two chews a day for the past three weeks. One bag contains 60 chews so that will last you around 5 weeks.

These look really amazing! After having Gastric Bypass and 15 other surgeries, anything I can add to help me to take better overall care from the inside out is a huge plus!

Careful about saying these don’t have soy. The company keeps changing the ingredients. The mint chocolate chews used to contain soy but now they supposedly don’t. I had a soy reaction even after having the ones that contained sunflower oil rather than soy. Also my favorite flavor, the fruit punch, contains soy lecithin as of Feb. 2014. I have a bag of this flavor at my desk at work that I ordered in Dec. 2013 and they claim to be soy free and contain sunflower oil. This replacement of sunflower with soy is a huge disappointment to those of us who suffer from food allergies.
