February Starbox Monthly Beauty Subscription Box Review

Hey Dolls, So I have been trying to post about all the many beauty related subscription services out there and today's post is bringing you a new makeup based box from Starbox featuring makeup from Starlooks. A lot of the beauty subscriptions I have tried and reviewed already are not makeup based so that is one of the main differences with Starbox.

 Features:

  • 3-4 Full Size Products;
  • Easyonline ordering;
  • Reward Program, earn 1 point for every dollar spent 100 points earns you $10 off;
  • Social Media Channels feature expert interviews and tutorials, so you will know how to use and apply your products. This is also written out on a card included in your box.

The minimum value of each box is $35 and the monthly subscription cost is $15.00 already a great value. Your box will contain at least 3-4 full size products. WOW this is amazing considering most similar priced subscription boxes only give you samples.
February’s box was a special Edition Lauren Clark Signature Starbox which contained $41 worth of makeup products. The box comes nicely packaged with information cards about the boxes contents.
Take a look at what was in the Lauren Clark special edition box;
Princess Diaries Eye Liner: A waterproof, smudge-proof pot eye liner.  Pretty pearlescent, baby-pink can be used as a liner on top eye lid or bottom, and also as a beautifully saturated crème eye shadow or shadow base.  Lighten up the corners of the eye, or paint on lashes for a sparkling white lash glow. (Starlooks Retail $15)
Barbie Fluid Blush:  Nice saturated blush tint perfect for the light, spring glow. (Starlooks Retail $15 )
Pink Oasis Lip Gloss: Sheer, sparkling, lavender gloss is perfect alone for a light glisten, or on top of lipstick for that extra, added shine and sparkle. (Starlooks Retail $11)
Lip-pencil in Tipsy: A pretty cool coral, pink color.  (Starlooks Retail $8)
The colors in this months box were a little light for my personal preference so I used them slightly different.  I went for a more fresh faced natural daytime look. My face is a little round so I didn't want to accentuate that with a bright blush on the apples of my cheeks, instead I used the cream blush as a highlighter just above my cheekbone, and I also used the cream blush as an eye color just applying to my lids up to the crease. I lined my top lashes with the eyeliner and finished off the eye with two coats of a black mascara.
Keeping the look light I lightly lined my lips with the lip-pencil and blended out the line and then applied the pink oasis lip gloss.  The products in the box are versatile and are designed to work with any skin tone.
What do you think of the box? This is a great subscription geared more to the makeup girls.
